Catch My Drift

_{What is Catch My Drift?}

A regular event for learners to get some time out on the track in a no-pressure environment, where everyone else is around the same level as you.

We have professional drifters on-hand at all times to give you tips, pointers, and generally just help you out as you learn how to control your car while drifting.

We generally start the day off on “The Cones – C Class License”. This is a basic test to show your current skills and what needs improving.

The C Class consists of you completing the following:

1.Donut around cone 1
2.Donut around cone 1, cone 2, then figure 8 around cones
3.Donut around cone 1, cone 2, figure eight, then big donut around both cones.

Once you have passed this then you will move on the the B Class track, which is more free style drifting, the track layout changes depending on the track owner, so will be different each time.

 

Depending on the level of the entrants we have on the day, we may change the activities we are doing.

Our days commence at 10AM sharp, they usually end around 4PM - this is dependant on the track owner, and also the amount of entrants we have remaining at the time.

 

 

 Where is this event held?

The venue we use is the  Slipway Driving Facility located at 44 Ashton Fitchett Drive, Brooklyn, Wellington. Up behind the Brooklyn Windmill.

 

Who are the Tutors?

Our tutors are members of the Drift Inc. Crew. These guys are awesome.

 

What can I gain from these days?

The necessary skills for competitive drifting in a no-pressure, controlled environment, off the streets of New Zealand. Plus a lot of fun, and time spent with like-minded folk.
